He has also covered major NBA events including the 2018 NBA All-star Weekend in Los Angeles, California and multiple (8) Regular Season NBA games at the United Center in Chicago and the Bankers Life FieldHouse Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Femi credited to be the first journalist from Africa to interview Los Angeles Lakers Allstar LeBron James, famously invited him to visit Africa. A passionate volunteer for notable courses, Femi hasservedas a volunteer in the office of the Public Relations officer at Nigeria Basketball Federation (2015-2016) and the Lagos State Basketball Association (2018 – 2021); Major sports initiatives including the Giants of Africa camp in Ghana, OlumideOyedeji Basketball Camp, Youth Alive Community Basketball League and many more.
His hunger and passion for sports development in Africa birthBALL Africa in the middle of thepandemic in 2020. His aims to mentor and expose African youths to the opportunities within sports value chain in order to develop holistic athletes andthought leaders like himself, while growing the African ports eco-system.
Femi has his first degree in Human Kinetics from Tai Solarin University of Education, an Executive Education certification in Sports Business Management from the Lagos Business School (2018), a certification in Fundraising from Philanthropy University (2018).He is currently an Executive MBA student at Quantic School of Business and Technology Washington DC, USA.
